Plus One, Minus One
With the New Year upon us, no doubt you have set several power resolutions. And while some of those resolutions are long-term goals that will come over time, it’s the small, daily changes we make that lead to results. And when we make micro commitments and keep them, we feel less overwhelmed by our goals and are more likely to see results in the long run that exceed our expectations rather than fall short of them.
For example, let’s say your New Year’s resolution might be to look 10 years younger in 2012. Now what? Did you know that just one extra application of sunscreen a day can mean over a thousand fewer hours of harmful sun exposure (the leading cause of skin cancer and a key cause of skin aging) in a year’s time?
So, this year we recommend taking a plus one, minus one approach. Simply resolve to do something skin friendly and drop something harmful to your skin each day. Like add an additional layer of sunscreen at noon and ditch the straw from your glass of water (leads to accelerated wrinkles around your mouth). Tune in to Derm RF this month to find out how you can make 2012 your best looking year yet by making small sacrifices and mini amends. It’s all about “in with the good and out with the bad!”
What are your skincare goals for 2012? We want to hear from you!
Sincerely,
Your Derm RF Team

Like calling our “resolutions” goals. That’s what I’m focusing on. Asking people to set a goal of establishing a skincare routine on a daily basis. I am amazed at how many women go to sleep without removing make up and mascara.

After reading the above, the first thing I will do is use STRAWS way less often than I now do. No wonder I have lines above my tip lip! Duh.
I will be more diligent with my regime, not skipping on them. I can tell the difference when I do.
I will also drink more water to keep myself hydrated.
